Private ADHD, Mental Health Assessments & EMDR Therapy — online across the UK
We value your time and ours, so if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, we kindly request at least 7 days notice. If you do not attend your session without providing sufficient notice, the payment for that session will not be refunded.
Safeguarding means protecting people's health, wellbeing and human rights, and helping them live free from harm, abuse and neglect. It's a fundamental part of providing good health and social care — and at Flourish Mental Health Pathways, it's something every one of us takes seriously, not just a policy on a page.
Those most in need of protection include children and young people, and adults who may be more dependent on others — for example because of a physical, sensory or mental impairment, or a learning disability.
Flourish Mental Health Pathways aims to ensure that everyone who uses our services is free from abuse or neglect, and everyone on our team works to protect that and to promote people's welfare.
Some adult clients may be at increased risk of harm — in daily life, and while using our services — because a health condition or disability makes them more dependent on others. They may need extra support to protect them from the risk of abuse or neglect.
We recognise that safeguarding adults at risk is everybody's responsibility, not one person's job.
All Flourish staff complete safeguarding training relevant to their role, and know to raise any concern — or suspicion of abuse — with our Safeguarding Lead without delay.
Our Safeguarding Lead:
For safeguarding queries, please contact our Safeguarding Lead at hello@flourishmentalhealthpathways.co.uk. A copy of our full Safeguarding Adults Policy is available on request.
Flourish Mental Health Pathways reserves the right to decline a new client where we determine we cannot appropriately manage their care and associated risks.

This section explains how Flourish safeguards young people aged 10–17 who use our services — currently, ADHD assessments. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Booking Terms & Conditions.
Our principles
Capacity, consent and involvement
We assess a young person's ability to understand and make decisions about their own care in line with UK law and clinical guidance (Gillick competence).
We actively encourage parents and carers to be involved. Where a young person is able to make their own decisions and would prefer certain information not to be shared, we respect that — unless sharing is required by law, or necessary to prevent serious harm.
Keeping online appointments safe
Because our assessments take place online, a few safeguards apply specifically to that:
Staying alert to risk
Our team is trained to stay alert to signs of physical, sexual or emotional abuse, neglect, exploitation (including online harms), self-harm, domestic abuse, and other forms of risk to a young person's safety — including where several smaller concerns, taken together, suggest something bigger is going on. [CONFIRM: Jane & Rosie to review this list and adjust to reflect the exact categories your training covers.]
How we share information
Where it's necessary for a young person's safeguarding, continuity of care, or safety, we may share relevant information with Children's Social Care, the police, the young person's school, or their GP.
Wherever appropriate, we'll seek the young person's and/or their parent or carer's consent first — but a lack of consent doesn't prevent us sharing information where there's a genuine safeguarding risk, or where we're legally required to. Any sharing we do is necessary, proportionate, and recorded.
Working with GPs and schools
As part of an assessment, we may request relevant background information from a young person's GP or school, and — with consent, or where safeguarding requires it — share relevant outcomes and recommendations back with them, to support their safety, any reasonable adjustments, and their ongoing care.
Where we use standardised questionnaires that involve parents, carers or school (such as the BASC), authorisation for this is confirmed at the time of booking.
Keeping records
Any safeguarding-related records we keep are accurate, dated, and stored securely, in line with our Privacy Policy. Where we've made a safeguarding decision, we record what it was, what we did, and why — clearly enough that it could be reviewed later if needed.
This page describes our approach to safeguarding; it is not a substitute for reporting an urgent concern. If a child or adult is in immediate danger, please call 999. If you're not sure whether something is a safeguarding concern but would like to talk it through, you're welcome to contact us at hello@flourishmentalhealthpathways.co.uk.

Flourish Mental Health Pathways ("Flourish", "we", "us") provides private ADHD assessments, EMDR therapy and mental health support services online across the UK. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
Data controller: Flourish Mental Health Pathways Ltd, a private limited company registered in England & Wales, company number 17211986. Contact: hello@flourishmentalhealthpathways.co.uk ICO registration: [PENDING — ICO registration number, once the data protection fee is paid]
When you enquire or book: your name, email address, phone number, which service you're interested in, who the enquiry is for, and anything you choose to tell us in your message.
When you become a client: information needed to provide your care safely — your health history, questionnaire responses (including, for young people, questionnaires completed by parents and school), assessment findings, session notes, and your written report.
When you pay: payments are made by bank transfer directly to our business account. We keep a record of payments received — including the reference, amount and payer name — for reconciliation and accounting purposes, in line with financial record-keeping requirements.
Because of the nature of our services, much of this is special category (health) data, which the law protects more strongly — and so do we.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing without your separate, optional consent.
Only those who need it to deliver our service:
Each provider processes data under contracts that meet UK GDPR requirements.
You can ask us to: access a copy of your information; correct it; delete it (where the law allows — clinical records often must be retained); restrict or object to some uses; and withdraw consent where consent is our basis. Contact hello@flourishmentalhealthpathways.co.uk and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can put it right — and you always have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Our site links to other websites — for example, organisations mentioned on our Resources page, or services like Microsoft Teams. We're not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we don't run ourselves, so it's worth checking their own privacy policy before sharing anything with them.
If our website uses spam-protection tools such as reCAPTCHA on the contact form, those tools may collect limited technical information from your device for security purposes, governed by their own provider's privacy policy (for reCAPTCHA, that's Google's). [PENDING — please confirm with your developer whether the contact form actually uses reCAPTCHA or similar; remove this section if not.]
Please share only what you're comfortable sharing in web forms and emails — there will always be time to talk in your appointment. If you need urgent help, please don't use our forms: see our If You Need Support Today page.
